MSME Minister Reviews Flagship Schemes in Puducherry, Pushes Credit Access

New Delhi, Jul 10 (KNN) Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Jitan Ram Manjhi reviewed the implementation of the Ministry's flagship MSME schemes in Puducherry during his visit on July 8-9 and urged banks to facilitate greater access to institutional credit for MSMEs.

He also called on all stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of government initiatives to support the sector's growth.

The Minister chaired a review meeting with officials from the Ministry of MSME, Government of Puducherry, NSIC, SIDBI, Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Coir Board, State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC), MSME associations and other stakeholders.

The review covered the implementation of schemes including PMEGP, PM Vishwakarma, CGTMSE, MSME Competitive (LEAN), MSME Sustainable (ZED), RAMP, Procurement and Marketing Support (PMS), Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Scheme and CHAMPIONS, with discussions focused on improving awareness and increasing their adoption.

During the visit, Manjhi also inspected the MSME Technology Centre and MSME Testing Station in Puducherry, where he reviewed training, production, testing and quality assurance facilities supporting MSMEs.
