MSME Minister to attend Digital Outreach & Convergence Summit on May 28 at IIT Delhi

New Delhi, May 19 (KNN) The second conference on “Digital Outreach & convergence: empowering the nation” is being organized in IIT Delhi on May 28 with the view to contextualise the digital landscape, exploring the challenges and opportunities, and effective strategies for digital outreach and convergence.

The Summit is a joint initiative of Knowledge Resource Development & Welfare Group, India; Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer, IIT Delhi; and Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council, India.

The event aims to bring leading entrepreneurs, luminaries from education, healthcare, entertainment, media, social sector and senior executives from Government, Public sector enterprises etc from India and abroad at one platform to share and showcase their digital initiatives, innovations and achievements.

Jual Oram, Union Cabinet Minister of Tribal Affairs and Kalraj Mishra, Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are expected to join the Summit.

Some of the leas speakers at the conference would be - Prof. MP Gupta, Incharge Planning Cell, IIT Delhi; Pavan Duggal, Cyber Law expert, India; Rajiv Kumar, Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology; Prof Prabhat Ranjan, Executive Director, TIFAC, India; Dr Mukesh Sharma, CEO, Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance Bhopal and more.

In a felicitation ceremony at the Summit, Digital Outreach & Convergence Awards 2016 will be conferred to individuals, organisations and communities in recognition of their initiatives, innovations, and achievements in making India a digitally empowered country.

Best Paper Awards, Best Project Awards (Student) will also be conferred at the summit.

Along with the conference, exhibition on IT & ICT tools, products, technologies and initiatives would also take place. (KNN Bureau)
