New Delhi, Nov 26 (KNN) MSME Secretary Anup K Pujari has asked the industry to “strive” for quality on a continual basis saying that a wave of technologies and ideas can create a revolution and surely turn the wheel for manufacturing in India.

He said that the focus of the Government is to implement schemes that will bring down the production cost and yet increase the competitiveness of the MSME sector.

Pujari said this at the inaugural of the 8th National Cluster Summit in the national capital on Tuesday. A wave of technologies and ideas can create a revolution and surely turn the wheel for manufacturing in India.

The theme of the 8th National Cluster Summit – ‘Build SME Competitiveness: Invest in Clusters’ has its genesis partly in  Prime Minister’s clarion call of Make in India including that of Zero Defect and Zero Effect and the fact that Clusters have been testified as important means of growth and transformation.

It has been seen that Clusters are important drivers of competitiveness and innovation. Innovation is better triggered in dynamic environments where similar organisations come together; interact in a constructive and a complementary manner to generate newer and smarter ways of doing things.

A brief look at the existing state of manufacturing sector in India reveals that although going steady, the sector has not moved much and that there is enormous untapped potential. Under the most recent initiative for the competence building of the Indian industry, the ‘Make in India’ campaign, the country is coming up as one of the most attractive destinations in the world to set up manufacturing.

The focus of the Government is to implement schemes that will bring down the production cost and yet increase the competitiveness of the MSME sector.

India should not expend energy in country to country comparison but focus on improving our market share by understanding what is it that others are doing better than us and how can we incorporate it in our system to improve our world quality ranking.

Emmanuel Marquis, Managing Director, Aerospace Business Line TRIGO, France revealed the secrets to go global to the Indian suppliers especially in the aerospace sector.

The mantra is to build a people-centric organization. It is people who break a sequence in a quality adherence procedure that lead to failure. Machines do not.” Motivated people are reliable and traceable who will ensure that there are no failures. (KNN Bureau)
