MSME Ministry developing app for barbers; seeking suggestions from Jawed Habib

New Delhi, Feb 15 (KNN) In an effort to connect self-entrepreneurs at the ground with digital India programme and make them organized, Ministry of MSME is developing an app for barbers.

The app will not only help barbers send an alert to their customers or enable customers know their nearest barber shops, it will also help them maintain customer database and accounts.

National Institute for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) will soon be developing the app to increase customer base of barbers.

“The ministry is developing the app. We have already started the work. Barbers can send messages to their customers about their schedules for haircut. We are taking inputs from various people. It is not for major saloons. It is for the smaller ones,” said Secretary of Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), KK Jalan, after launching a workshop on Beauty and Wellness at NIMSME on Tuesday.

He added there is a lot of skilled workforce, but management skills are necessary to grab opportunities.

Not only this, the Ministry which sought help of renowned designer like Ritu Beri in boosting Khadi, is this time seeking help from renowned hair stylist Jawed Habib for best suggestions on this. (KNN Bureau)
