MSME Ministry organizes awareness campaign on Digital Payment at FFDC, Kannauj

Lucknow, Dec 1 (KNN) With the view to reach out to the workers and employees engaged in the MSME sector, an awareness campaign on Digital Payment was organized at Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre (FFDC), Kannauj.

In this regard, a meeting was organized at FFDC, Kannauj, on the awareness programme on making all payments and receipts on e-platform.

The meeting was attended by 32 participants including officers/staff and trainees of the centre.

The MSME Ministry on social media page said, “The participants were made aware about the e-payment through UPI, USSD, e-wallet, Cards POS, Aadhar enabled payment system.”

The experts also gave demonstrations on the payments received by the centre through SBI collect and POS and asked the participants to do transactions without cash if possible.

Some of the participants suggested that “For encouraging use of POS by micro merchants, the charges should be waived out by Government for certain period.”
Some participants also pressed upon promoting the use of Rupay debit card stating that the transaction cost would go down with this.
To popularize the awareness among the common people, participants suggested making a small video for demonstration in cinema halls during the intervals.

Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) has been set-up by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India with the assistance of UNDP / UNIDO and Government of Uttar Pradesh.  FFDC aims to serve as an interface between essential oil, fragrance and flavour industry and the R&D institutions both in the field of Agro Technology and chemical technology.

Main objective of the centre is to serve, sustain and upgrade the status of farmers and industry engaged in the aromatic cultivation and its processing, so as to make them competitive both in local and global market. (KNN Bureau)
