MSME Ministry reviews preparation for MSME National Award Ceremony

Ludhiana, Oct 6 (KNN) The Union MSME Ministry is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the National MSME Award Ceremony, which would be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is organized smoothly.

Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the preparatory steps for National Award Function for MSME and other issues. MoS MSME Ministry Giriraj Singh and other senior officers from the Ministry attended the meeting.

In a tweet, Giriraj Singh wrote, “In Ludhiana to take stock of preparations for the launching of national SC/ST hub, National MSME award function & ZED scheme by the PM.”

During his visit, Singh also visited pig breeding farm at Kotli village, Payal, Ludhiana.

During the programme, awards will be given to 35 entrepreneurs from different states.

The programme is organised every year by the government to honour select industrialists who have excelled in terms of innovation, new technology etc.

Ludhiana is considered as the hub of manufacturing units where most of them are MSMEs who produce small parts for the different industries.

Earlier, the award ceremony was to be held on October 8 but has now been postponed further. (KNN Bureau)
