MSME Ministry to hold review meeting over CLCSS on Aug 16; FISME, LUB, SIDBI amongst invitees to discuss norms

New Delhi, Aug 10 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is organizing a review meeting on the Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS) on August 16.

The meeting will be held at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi.

The Ministry is in the process of revision of CLSS scheme. For this the Ministry wants to hold discussion on the CLCSS guidelines and other related issues with the senior bank officials and industry representatives.

In this regard, the Additional Development Commissioner (MSME) has invited senior officials from SIDBI, SBI, Corporation Bank, PNB for the meeting. Amongst industry bodies, Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME), an apex body for MSME associations in the country, Laghu Udyog Bharti have also been invited.

CLCSS aims to facilitate technology up-gradation in MSEs by providing an upfront capital subsidy of 15 per cent (on institutional finance of upto Rs 1 crore availed by them) for induction of well-established and improved technology in the specified 51 sub-sectors/products approved.

Through the scheme, the Ministry helps the MSEs upgrade their plant & machinery with state-of-the-art technology, with or without expansion and it also helps new MSEs which have set up their facilities with appropriate eligible and proven technology duly approved under scheme guidelines.

The Scheme is a demand driven one without any upper limit on overall annual spending on the subsidy disbursal.  (KNN Bureau)
