MSME Park to be built in Aligarh's Defense Corridor

New Delhi, 5 June (KNN) Equipped with modern facilities, a dedicated park for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is going to be developed soon in Aligarh’s defence industrial corridor.

A total 47 hectares of land has been taken under acquisition near Khair road in Andala Village of Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh for the defence industrial corridor. Of which, 10% will be dedicated for the establishment of MSME park.

The Park will have all the modern facilities such as testing labs, digital dye making. With this, lock hardware manufacturers and other small scale industries will expand.

While speaking with KNN India, Member of Indian Industries Association (IIA) and owner of Yamuna Exports, Pawan Kumar said “Aligarh is a hub of plastic, software, medicine and hardware industry. A majority of hardware companies are in operation here.”

With the establishment of MSME park in defense corridor the hardware companies will get a better opportunity to flourish and generate employment for the local and nearby people more’, he added.

He asserted that the connectivity of road and infrastructure growth will invite even service sectors to come up.

“Our demand is to increase the area of expansion of MSME Park from the present State Government. We are stressing more upon this as it was proposed by then Defense Minister to make Aligarh as the Headquarter of Corridor of the State’’, he added further.

On this, President of IIA, Sunil Vaish said “It is an urgent need of an hour that dedicated MSME parks will be built at every point of defence corridors as they are the main drivers of growth.”

A separate MSME park will be developed on one part of the land acquired for the establishment of defence corridor in Aligarh. Similarly such parks will be developed in Kanpur, Agra and Lucknow. In such MSME parks small size plots will be there where MSMEs can set up industries related to engineering, plastics and textiles.

He mentioned that IIA has recommended for developing separate MSME parks in every pocket and nodes in Uttar Pradesh. (KNN/VS)
