MSME Registrations At Udyam Portal Cross 3 Crore Mark

New Delhi, Dec 12 (KNN) Total 3,16,05,581 MSMEs have been registered since 1 July, 2020 to 4 December, 2023 as per Udyam Registration Portal, informed MoS for MSME, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha on Monday.

This total number includes informal micro enterprises registered on Udyam Assist Platform.

From this the total number of women owned MSMEs registered during that period across India was 1,17,36,406, said the MoS. 

Further in the reply, he gave a brief information about the steps taken by the ministry in ensuring growth of the MSME sector and the expenditure incurred.

For non-tax benefits the government extended it for 3 years in case of an upward change in status of MSMEs w.e.f. 18 October, 2022. 

The Ministry also launched the Udyam Assist Platform on 11 January, 2023 to bring Informal Micro Enterprises under the formal ambit for availing the benefits under Priority Sector Lending, he said.
