MSME sector has vast potential to boost EV Industry, says MoS MSME

New Delhi, Aug 8 (KNN) MSMEs can immensely contribute to the Electric Vehicles (EV) industry and entrepreneurs and MSMEs working in this field will take it forward, said Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, MoS for MSME at the 15th EVEXPO 2022.
The eco-friendly Electric Vehicle Technology Expo took place from August 5 to 7 and was inaugurated by the Minister, said the press release.
Lauding MSMEs for their contribution in fulfilling the needs of India during the peak of pandemic by manufacturing sanitizers, masks, and other items, he said MSME sector similarly can help the EV industry grow rapidly.
Speaking on the occasion, Anuj Sharma, Chairman, Electric Vehicle Committee, Govt. of India & Founder EV Expo said "As the Central Government's FAME II subsidy is coming to an end, I feel that the State Governments should come forward now.”
Gujarat and Delhi are already offering subsidy and various States are finalising their EV Policies, he added.
We have also requested them to support the Prime Minister's vision that maximum people should adopt EV Electric Vehicles, by offering Rs 15000/- and 20,000/- subsidy on 2 and 3 wheeled EVs respectively, said Sharma.
During the three day event about 100 companies participated showcasing the latest and technologically advanced, pollution-free 2, 3 & 4 wheeled e-vehicles, parts and accessories, charging solutions, and technology from around 100 national and international companies. (KNN Bureau)
