Guwahati, April 23 (KNN) MSME Minister Narayan Rane has emphasised on the significant role MSME sector can play to boost industrial growth in the North East region. 

After inaugurating the 7th India Industrial Fair Udyam 2022 in Guwahati he urged entrepreneurs to avail benefit of the central government’s schemes and subsidies to set up their businesses in the region. 

Highlighting the potential of tourism, he appealed them to explore the sector to an optimum level. 

Reiterating union government’s commitment towards development of the northeastern states, he said that we will ensure that the region contributes to the growth of the country.

Present at the inauguration, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma later tweeted that, “I am sure it will boost the confidence of entrepreneurs entering the MSME sector. We are committed to providing all support to the sector.”

He also hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his sustained efforts towards the growth of MSMEs in North East. (KNN Bureau)
