MSME Summit to be held next week for rejuvenating MSME definition

New Delhi, Aug 14 (KNN) With a view to understanding the various initiatives being taken by the new Government for the MSME sector and discussing the policy and regulatory reforms, a MSME Summit is being organized in the national capital next week. 

Industry body, FICCI-CMSME is organizing the 'MSME Summit 2014' on August 19, 2014 which would be inaugurated by Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra.

“Amongst factors impacting MSME policy and regulatory reforms are most critical as MSME prosperity depends on a favourable ecosystem for further growth,” FICCI said in a statement.

The Summit aims to discuss and deliberate upon- Rejuvenating the MSME definition - Viable options; Nurturing Entrepreneurship in India; New age Technologies for business development and ease; Addressing the Challenges in growing market linkages for MSMEs; and Promoting Innovation in MSME Finance.

Participation and exchange of views amongst Stakeholders including policymakers, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, corporate leaders and investors, small and medium enterprises, technology providers, and MSMEs domain experts will give us a roadmap to further strengthen MSME development, said the industry body.

Some of the other speakers to address the Summit are – Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Madhav Lal; Secretary - Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, G S Sandhu; AS and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, Amarendra Sinha etc. (KNN/SD)
