MSME Trade Fair in Odisha aims to attract foreign investors and showcase potential

Bhubaneswar, Nov 2 (KNN) Odisha Government will organise the fourth edition of the Odisha MSME Trade Fair in the state capital from January 8 to 14, 2016 to woo overseas investors and showcase potential of the sector.
 
"Attempts will also be made to attract overseas entrepreneurs to invest in Odisha in sectors like engineering, chemicals, metallurgical and marine processing, agriculture, tourism and textiles," Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Secretary Surendra Kumar said.
 
The trade fair will be held at the IDCO Exhibition Ground here. Business delegation from foreign countries will also be invited through their embassies in India for popularisation of Odisha products.
 
Seminars and workshops will be conducted on credit flow, marketing support and technology up gradation, Kumar said and added that buyers-sellers meet will also be organised to facilitate the marketing of MSME products in the exhibition. The budget for this trade fair has been estimated at Rs 99 lakh, he said.
 
Presiding over a State-level preparatory committee meeting, Chief Secretary GC Pati advised the department to actively involve various industries and MSME associations.
 
The OSIC, NSIC, Utkalika and Bayanika have been advised to focus on showcasing marketing and credit linkages for MSMEs. (KNN Bureau)
