MSME Vendor development programme by NR, RCF (Kapurthala) and Delhi Metro

New Delhi, Feb 6 (KNN) In order to broaden the base of suppliers among the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, a national vendor development programme cum industrial exhibition is being held on February 19 and 20, 2015 here.

Being organized by MSME-Development Institute, New Delhi, Ministry of MSME, Government of India in association with Northern Railways, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala and Delhi Metro, the programme is to expose MSMEs to the opportunities in these institutions. Besides Railways, other central public sector undertakings are also participating. 

The initiative is to also help ministries in the central government, departments and related agencies to comply the MSME Public Procurement Policy (2012) according to which 20 per cent of their purchases have to come from MSME sector.   

Concurrent to the exhibition, a seminar is also scheduled to be organized where the MSMEs would be informed of the process of registration and supplies to these agencies.
While the participation fee for micro and small enterprises is kept at Rs 8000 for Medium enterprises it is Rs 15000.
