Bangalore, Aug 26 (KNN) The domestic small and mid-sized industries should network with their counterparts in other countries for technology and global markets in order to achieve the ‘make in India’ dream, according to Karnataka industries.

Addressing a conference for technology and marketing here yesterday, Karnataka Small Scale Industries’ Association (KASSIA) President, Chidananda M Rajamane said that the small industries should build links to succeed in a competitive and borderless global market.

According to several speakers who addressed the conference, most of the MSMEs lack technology and access to international markets.

For the past five years, MSMEs had grown at nearly 11.5 per cent which is more than the industrial growth rates of 7.8 per cent, Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee said.

The MSME conference for technology and marketing was co-hosted by the State government, city-based Rangnekar Institute of Management Studies and Research, Brenau University, US, Laghu Udyog Bharathi and other industry bodies. (KNN/SD)
