Mysore industries request for reopening of MSME sub centre at Mysore

Mysore, Jun 5 (KNN) The Mysore Industries Association has requested the Parliamentary Committee to direct the Ministry of MSME to expedite the process of reopening of MSME sub centre at Mysore, for which first year office and infrastructure will be provided by the association.

“National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) sub centre of Mysore is not functioning after the transfer of Branch Manager from Mysore to Kerala. MIA requests the Committee to direct the Ministry to post one Manager with one Sub Staff to Mysore Sub Centre immediately and to take action in reopening of the NSIC Sub centre,” said a press release from MIA.

A memorandum of MIA related to issues of MSME’s was submitted to Chairmen and Parliamentary Committee of Commerce and Industry, KC Thyagi on Friday.

The delegation was led by President Mysore Industries Association, P Vishwanath along with Vice President   MIA, OD Sathyendra; General Secretary MIA, Suresh Kumar Jain;    President, MDMSMEA, TD Jayachandra Urs; Secretary, MDMSMEA, S Madegowda and Member, Women’s wing, BC Meera.

The association also welcomed the steps taken by the Union Government in simplification of labour laws making more industry friendly; inauguration of Mudra Bank for need based availability of funds for micro enterprises and doubling of investment limits on plant and machinery of MSMEs.

They expressed their hope that the Parliamentary Committee will consider the requests and direct the Ministry of MSME to act on it for the healthy development and growth of micro and small scale industries. (KNN/ST)
