Mysore industries seek regular air services to their region

Mysore, Jul 28 (KNN)  Mysore Industries Association (MIA) that represents 40,000 industries in Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts is organizing an interaction meeting with Union Minister for Civil Aviation, G M Siddeshwara to seek regular air services to the districts to boost exports and tourism of the region.

MIA last month laid the foundation stone for the Mysore Export Centre which when operational will provide all assistance related to export promotional activities under one roof for industries in the three districts. 

On the objective of the meeting, “The Existing Mysore Airport should be functional and upgraded to provide regular Air services to the required destinations in the country which will boost export and tourism of the region,” said General Secretary, MIA, Suresh Kumar Jain.

The meeting with Siddeshwara will be held here on August-2.

While Members of Parliament - Prathap Simha, C S Puttaraj and R Druvanarayan will be chief guests, Vasu MLA will preside over the function and President, MIA, P Vishwanath, will deliver the key note address.

Several industrialist and exporters from the region are expected to participate in the meeting.  (KNN/ES)
