NALCO to provide hand-holding support to MSME vendors; help publicize their brands

New Delhi, Dec 8 (KNN) Public Sector Unit (PSU) NALCO is ready to provide hand-hold support to its regular MSME vendors who ensure quality and timely delivery of products, T K Chand, Chairman and Managing Director, Nalco has said.

This will attract more MSMEs and bring new stages of development, he said adding that the motive is not just to give the MSMEs a chance to connect or grow but meanwhile to publicize the MSME brands.

“Being a responsible large-scale industry, Nalco shall make efforts to publicize select MSME brands, along with its own brand image publicity”, he added.

Chand said this while recently addressing the inaugural ceremony of MSME-Expo Odisha 2016 in Cuttack. While addressing the representatives of various industries, banks, small enterprises, start-ups, as well as officials of MSME departments of the state and Centre, Chand appreciated the MSMEs of the state for their better performance in employment and return-on-investment.

"MSMEs are the game changers, impelling the growth and development," Chand said.

Chand also suggested the state government to prepare a mobile application for MSMEs, which will address their issues and provide information and updates on policy initiatives.

“While the state is geared up to promote ancillary industries, Nalco is setting up an Aluminium Park in Angul, in collaboration with IDCO to support downstream and upstream industries,” Chand said.
