National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub scheme valid till 31 March 2026

New Delhi, 1 Dec (KNN) The Ministry of MSME announced on Tuesday that the National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) scheme is applicable from the date of sanction till 31st March, 2026.

The total plan outlay of NSSH for the period from FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26 would be INR 438 crore.

Standing Finance Committee (SFC) in its meeting held on 11th October, 2021 had approved the proposal for continuation of National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) during 15thFinancial Cycle i.e. from 2021-22 to 2025- 26.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) scheme in October 2016.

Its aim is to enhance the capacity of SC/ST entrepreneurs and promoting "entrepreneurship culture" amongst the SC / ST population.

Empowering the SC/ST population to participate in public procurement process is also the major objective of this scheme along with fulfilling the mandated target of 4% procurement from SC/ST enterprises under Public Procurement Policy by the Ministries, Departments and CPSEs.
