Jammu, Jan 12 (KNN) “Mufti Sahab gave a stable environment to the industry, his demise is a setback for the industry,” said Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) President Lalit Mahajan.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Thursday morning at the age of 79. After his death, the president rule has already been imposed in the State.

The state industrials, especially from Jammu, seemed to be a little bit worried with his sad demise and said there is a need for the popular and stable government in the state.

“It won’t have a huge impact on the industry but there is a need of a popular Government in the state to boost the industrial development,” Mahajan said.

Talking about the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Government, he said that his work was appreciable.

During his rule, the state’s future could have changed, he added.

Sayeed had taken several initiatives to open cross border trade in between the state and Pakistan and borders were supposed to open for trade, he said adding only two routes are opened for trade, and many were about to open.

He said, “The new industrial policy was about to come after the 31st March, 2016, but after the demise of CM, don’t know when will it come.”

He said that no new huge investments are coming in state due to the old policy and there is always a problem of regular investment in the state.

We are not getting any incentives from the Central Government, he added.

However, he said that PDP-BJP Government has good coordination between them and Government was working well together. (KNN Bureau)
