New SBI branch in old Hyderabad to cater to SMEs

Hyderabad, Sept 23 (KNN) Small and medium units in the old city of Hyderabad will now have a dedicated branch of the State Bank of India to service them.
The old city of Hyderabad, known for the historic Charminar is a hub of trading activity. In fact, a thriving market surrounds the market. While the Laad Baazar is known or jewellery, especially the stone encrusted bangles, the Pather Gatti is famous for strings of Hyderabadi pearls.
Some 14,000 shops were known to have existed in the Charminar market in the old days.
According to reports the new branch will offer loans for car, housing, education and mortgage through a speedy process. It will also offer investment plans, retirement plans, Life insurance, mutual funds, credit and debit cards, etc.
The branch at Moghalpura was inaugurated by Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, C R Sasikumar on Friday. (KNN/ES)
