Ni-msme to organize training programme on IPR for MSMEs

Hyderabad, Mar 1 (KNN) To develop a broad understanding of Intellectual Property (IP) amongst Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the National Institute for MSME (ni-msme) is organizing a five day training programme here on March 11, 2019

The objective of the event is to significantly raise the level of awareness and interest / knowledge about IPR issues and provide insights on the creation, ownership and protection of intellectual property.

This event will also help MSMEs to get familiarize with various types of IPR, Viz., Patents, Trade Marks, Copyrights, Geographical indications (GIs), Industrial Designs, Utility Models, Collective marks, Certification Marks & Trade Secrets & IPR Incentive schemes.

This event is especially being organized for Enterprises, Research Institutes, MSMEs, Academic Institutions & Universities, MSME Development Institutes, Technical Consultancy Organizations, Incubators, IP professionals, Industry Associations, Business development cells, Entrepreneurship Cells, Technology Transfer Cells, IP-owning entities, Policy makers, Inventors, Engineers, R&D Heads, Subject Matter Specialist and others engaged in technical endeavors.

Content that will be covered in the entire programme are- (a) Concept, characteristics and context of Intellectual Property Issues involved in IP Management: An overview (b) IP components & Filing Procedures: Patents, Trade Marks, Copyrights, GI & Industrial Designs (c) IP Commercialization and Deployment (d) Government initiatives on IP Promotion for Startups & MSMEs (e) IP Enforcement.

The event is being supported by SC/ ST HUB, Ministry of MSME (MoMSME). (KNN/JM)
