Nitin Gadkari is the MSME Minister in NDA Govt

New Delhi, May 31 (KNN) A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his 57-member council of ministers were sworn in by President Ram Nath Kovind, a final allocation of the portfolios has been made to the new ministers.

As per the new allocation, the BJP’s one of the most promised member, Nitin Gadkari has been allocated two portfolios. Continuing with his past position as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, he has been allocated Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

After Giriraj Singh, he is the MSME Minister in second tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Former minister of state for micro, small and medium enterprises has been appointed as Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries. Rajnath Singh is the new Defence Minister while Nirmala Sitharaman moved from Defence to become Finance Minister.

Career diplomat S Jaishankar is the Foreign Minister while Smriti Irani is the Minister for Women and Child Development. Amit Shah has got Ministry of Home Affairs.

Member of Parliament from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur Badal has retained the Food Processing Ministry.

While Piyush Goyal has been given the charge of Railways, Commerce and Industry ministries in Modi's new cabinet.

Prakash Javadekar, who was the Human Resource Development minister, gets to retain the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and will be the new Minister of Information and Broadcasting.

Dr Harsh Vardhan has been appointed as Minister of Health and Family Welfare; Minister of Science and Technology; and Minister of Earth Sciences.
