NSIC targets Rs 24000 cr turnover this year for MSMEs

New Delhi, July 28 (KNN) National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) has targeted Rs 24,000 crore turnover in 2015 through its various schemes and services to facilitate micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the country. These services included raw material supply, raw material finance, B2B, B2C and its technical centres.

This was informed by MSME Minister of State Giriraj Singh in a written reply to the Lok Sabha on Monday.

He said the Ministry of MSME has taken several initiatives like Udyami helpline, online registration of MSMEs, digital employment exchange, virtual cluster and e-office.

NSIC also organises defence exhibitions, MSME buyer-seller meets, vendor development programs, MSME DEFEXPO and special vendor development programs to build a MSME database and facilitating supplies from MSMEs to obtain and execute defence orders, he added.

Earlier this month, NSIC had said it will train 17,000 people this year. (KNN Bureau)
