Office of DC-MSME invites bids from CPSEs to set up 20 Technology Centres across India

New Delhi, Oct 14 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is planning to set up as many as 20 new technology centres across India.

In this regard, the office of the Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME has invited bids from Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to be the Project Management Consultant (PMC).

The Office of DC-MSMEintends to engage the services of a CPSE as PMC through open tender for planning, design & monitoring of civil infrastructure, procurement of machines, contract management and providing implementation & monitoring support in establishment of 20 Technology Centres across India.

The approximate cost for setting up these 20 TCs would be Rs. 3600 Crs.

The last date for Proposal Submission is October 31, 2019.

As many as 18 tool rooms are operational in the country and 15 more are in different stages of development or have started functioning. These tool rooms are specific to electronics, general engineering and high-end engineering sectors.

The Technology Centres’ primary focus is to support industries particularly MSMEs in the country through access to advanced manufacturing technologies; Skilling  manpower by offering opportunities for technical skill development to the youth  at varying  levels  ranging  from  school dropouts to graduate engineers and providing technical and business advisory support to MSME entrepreneurs.
