Opportunities, incentives for food processing industries in Mysore

Mysore, Aug 18 (KNN)  To provide a boost to food processing industries in the district of Mysore, an awareness program on opportunities, incentives and concessions available to establish and expand food processing industries will be held here.

Scheduled to be held on August-31, the awareness programme has been jointly organized by National Mission of Food Processing, District Agricultural, Horticulture departments, District Industries Centre in association with Mysore Industries Association and Mysore District Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Association.

“Mysore is an ideal location to establish food based industries and there are ample opportunities to invest in this sector. CFTRI, DFRL, MNC’s and MSME’s manufacturing and processing food products are doing well in this region,” said General Secretary, Mysore Industries Association, Suresh Kumar Jain in an official release.

During the event, subject experts from CFTRI, DFRL, Horticulture, Industries and Agricultural Departments will interact and provide information about guidelines of National Mission of Food Processing, advance technology in processing of fruit, milk, pulses, and other food products, and also availability of infrastructure and land.
 
Minister for Revenue and District in charge, V Srinivas Prasad, will inaugurate the program while Officers of the Ministry of National Mission of Food Processing, KEPPEK will be Chief Guests.      

Micro, small and medium industrialists, particularly those in the food based industry will be participating in the programme.  (KNN/ES)
