Noida, Jun 15 (KNN)  As many as 237 youngsters got on the spot placement at a Rozgaar Mela organised here with most  of them finding jobs in multinational and Indian food chains like McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Haldirams, Pantaloon and Godrej Kitchen.

The event was organised by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), an organization that comes under the purview of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Representatives of 54 companies/firms including McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Haldirams, Pantaloon, Devyani Food Chain and Godrej Kitchen attended the day-long meet.

While 618 participants who were earlier trained by the institute in different skills/trades had registered for the event, 237 were provided on-the-spot offers of employment at a monthly pay range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,500 in light engineering works and Rs 12,000 to Rs 14,000 in the IT Sector.

Further, more than 50 participants were retained for the second round of grooming by different companies.  Earlier, the meets organised here and in Patna last year, were similarly successful having received good response.

The Institute provides placement assistance to those who opt for wage-employment after the training.

The institute has been organising training and research programmes while availing different initiatives of the Government of India towards empowering youth for remunerative employment. (KNN)
