PayPal launches merchant focused app to solve problems of SMEs and freelancers

New Delhi, Oct 5 (KNN) Digital payments brand PayPal has launched its first merchant focused app in India-PayPal for Business. The app has been launched with the purpose of tackling its entire back-end of small businesses through technology, and to solve the problems faced by SMEs and freelancers.

The app will assist small and medium merchants and freelancers in conducting domestic and cross-border business.

“Our focus is to enable payments in a convenient and safe manner and help merchants and freelancers grow their business,” said Narsi Subramanian, Director -Growth, PayPal India.

He added, “The PayPal for Business app solves some of the most common problems faced by SMEs and freelancers. It empowers them to run their business seamlessly and goes beyond just processing payments.”

With the penetration of smartphones and internet connectivity, our merchants are increasingly adopting a mobile-first go-to-market strategy. PayPal for Business is aimed at catering to these merchants in making their lives easier and helping them conduct their business on the go,” said Narsi Subramanian.

It also consists of single currency integration meant for domestic and cross-border payments.

The app will assist the merchants in tracking business performance and analyze their sales and create and send invoices.
