New Delhi, 30 May (KNN) The Commerce and Industry Minister and also Minister of Railways, Piyush Goyal, is holding a virtual meeting with major industry bodies on Tuesday to discuss the strategy to mitigate  challenges thrown by the second wave of Covid pandemic. 

The communication addressed to the associations has conceded the severe impact on industry of Covid led lockdowns and spread of Corona virus amongst workers and other similar reasons. 

“It is considered that based upon lessons learnt from past experiences, the Indian industry should gear up itself to meet the present and future challenges because of Covid-19 pandemic”, notes the communications.

Besides the national bodies such as CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM and FISME, regional associations are also invited such as IIA (UP),  FKCCI (Bangalore), TANSTIA (Tamil Nadu),  MIIDA (Maharashtra), FIA (Gujarat) among others.
