New Delhi, Oct 18 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon launch the National SC/ ST Hub in the manufacturing hub of the country today.

The National SC/ ST Hub is an online digital advisory support system to provide support to SC-ST entrepreneurs.

All support advisory services will be rendered through this system.

Under the National SC/ ST Hub, the institutions like NSIC, NEDFI, State level SC-ST marketing organisations & others would help create consortiums of SC-ST suppliers.

The creation of consortiums would enable small SC/ ST suppliers to participate in medium and large tenders of CPSEs and Central Ministries.

Under the hub, a Management Information System (MIS) would be created which would monitor the performance of CPSEs/ Central Ministries in fulfilling their annual public procurement target from SC/ ST entrepreneurs.

There would also be Mentoring Programme for SC/ ST MSMEs under which online digital advisory support system would be launched to provide support to them.

The MSME Ministry recently made an initial allotment of allocation of Rs 490 crore for the period 2016–2020 for the National SC/ST Hub. The hub would operate from National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) Headquarters in Delhi, supported by a special cell created for this purpose.

Along with launching the National SC/ ST Hub, PM Modi will also launch the ZED Scheme and give awards to the MSME entrepreneurs. (KNN Bureau)
