PM Vishwakarma Beneficiaries Invited To Witness Republic Day Parade 2024
New Delhi, Jan 25 (KNN) The artisans and craftspeople benefiting from the PM Vishwakarma Scheme have received an invitation from the Ministry of Defence to attend the Republic Day Parade 2024 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, as ‘Special Guests’.
Launched in September 2023, the comprehensive PM Vishwakarma Scheme provides end-to-end support to individuals in 18 trades. Currently, the scheme boasts a successful registration of 2,85,420 applications.
A total of 256 beneficiaries, accompanied by their spouses, hailing from rural and urban areas across 20 States, including North Eastern States and 4 Union Territories, will be part of the Republic Day Event on 26th January, 2024.
Notably, some beneficiaries are from Aspirational districts. Among them are 108 female artisans and 148 male artisans, representing the diverse trades covered under the scheme.
In recognition of their contributions, the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) will host a lunch in honour of the Vishwakarma beneficiaries. Additionally, these special guests will have the opportunity to explore historic monuments in Delhi, enhancing their Republic Day experience.
