Power2SME, FMC collaborates to organize 'MSME transformation Camps'

New Delhi, May 9 (KNN) The Foundation of MSME Clusters (FMC) and Power2SME recently signed MoUs to organize activities and events for MSMEs.

The main aim of the collaboration is to help the MSME sector become digitally empowered .  Through the training programs lined up for the year, there are initiatives to educate the MSMEs on digital means of raw material procurement and to access the working capital loans.

The first event was organized recently at the Zilla Parishad in Kolkata in partnership with the All Bengal Steel Furniture Manufactures Association (ABSFMA).

Talking to press, Sumit Bhatia, VP at Power2SME acknowledged the contribution MSME sector makes in the economy both in terms of generation of employment and national production. He further said that the sector at present faces certain problems that need to be addressed to help the sector grow further. These include making raw material available to the units, adoption of digital means and technological upgradation. Power2SME is trying to address these concerns by providing digital solutions to these problems.

The first thing that is to be done is that the MSME entrepreneurs should be taught the know-how of online portal, the VP added.

Also Sudha Sarin, VP and Marketing at Power2SME said that the transformation camps will create digital awareness in the MSME sector. He commented that the initiative is not a one-time event but will be in loop and organized at different parts of the country.  (KNN/ DA)
