Programme for SMEs on communication skill development

Belgaum, Oct 20 (KNN) Developing the communication skills of small and medium entrepreneurs leading to the growth of the industry, Belgaum Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCC&I) in association with Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) organized a training programme on ‘Communication and Skill Development’ here.

District Industries Centre Joint Director Parmeshwarappa, while addressing the programme on Saturday, emphasised the importance of good communications skills for the growth of the industry and stressed on the word ‘Smart’, saying ,” SMART means Skill, Management, Aim, Reality and Time bound which will help the growth.”

He also informed the gathering about the various government schemes for different categories of entrepreneurs.

On the other hand, co-ordinator for Women Empowerment, Sister Iyerin spoke about how to develop communication skills and develop the interest to learn more.

The training was conducted by LUB spokesperson, Jagdish who spoke about communication skills and body language, which according to him are matters to be considered.

EC Member of LUB, Priya Puranik presented the vote of thanks and spoke about the importance of body language. She also stressed the need for more interest in such programmes. (KNN/SD)
