Programme to enable public sector enterprises to identify MSE vendors

New Delhi, Sept 25 (KNN)  To enable Public Sector Enterprises to identify suitable vendors in the micro and small enterprise (MSE) category, a National Vendor Development Programme will be held here next month.
 
Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, the event is scheduled to be held on 9th October, coinciding with the Global SME Business Summit scheduled for 8 – 9 October 2014 here.
 
Through the event SMEs will have a chance to become successful vendors to top Indian PSEs, by showcasing their products and services, an official notice said.
 
The Public Procurement Policy under the MSMED Act 2006 notifies mandatory procurement of 20 per cent of annual value of goods and services from micro and small enterprises by central government ministries, its departments and public sector undertakings.
 
Participating PSEs at the event are Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML); Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL); Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI); Engineers India Limited (EIL); Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL);           Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL); Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation of Indian (MMTC); National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO); Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL); National Fertilizers Limited (NFL); Oil India Limited (OIL); Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC); Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES); SJVN Limited; and Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL).
 
There are various stall and space categories which Indian companies may book to display their products.  Special discount is available for Delhi and NCR registered units.  (KNN/ES)
