The Minister was responding to a question raised by Manoj Kumar Jha, Rashtriya Janata Dal MP from Bihar.

MoS MSME said that the number could be much higher as many units are not registered with the Ministry as MSMEs.

Haryana stood second where 268 MSME units faced closure and left 1,345 people jobless.

In Himachal Pradesh, 57 MSMSEs had to be shut down during this period, resulting in loss of 517 jobs, while 107 employees lost their jobs in UT Chandigarh following the shutdown of 27 MSME units.  (KNN Bureau)
