Rahul Gandhi Advocates Industrial Hubs And Single GST Rate Implementation To Safeguard MSMEs

New Delhi, Aug 28 (KNN) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that creating industrial hubs and implementing a single GST rate stand as imperative measures to shield Indian MSMEs.

Sharing a video of his recent visit to chocolate-making factory in Ooty, Gandhi said, “ In a landscape where the government appears to favour larger corporations to the detriment of the MSME sector, it is the pure grit of hard-working Indians like the women I met here that sustains India's growth.”

Lauding the women working at the Moddys Chocolate factory, Gandhi said that this chocolate factory is a testament to the great potential of India's MSMEs.

Targeting the government over the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the congress leader said that countless small and medium businesses across India are suffering due to centre’s tax system.

He pointed out that the celebrated chocolate brand is also grappling with the burden of the "same adversary - the Gabbar Singh Tax" (GST) like countless other small and medium businesses.

Rahul had recently visited Moddys Chocolates earlier this month on his way to Wayanad, his Lok Sabha seat, after his Parliament membership was restored.  (KNN Bureau)
