Rain causes immense damage to industries in Yadavagiri Industrial Area

Mysore, Sept 23 (KNN) Several industrial units located in the Yadavagiri industrial area here have incurred considerable damage owing to heavy rain and inadequate storm water drains.
“The main reason for the damage is improper open drainage as well as underground drainage,” said General Secretary, Mysore Industries Association, Suresh Kumar Jain.
Corporation Commissioner, Betsurmath, Executive engineer Raju, Muda superintendent engineer Shivakumar, MLA Vasu, Suresh Kumar Jain and other industrialists of Yadavagiri visited the rain affected areas today to take stock of the damage.
Vasu has instructed the officers to take quick action in all areas affected by yesterday’s rain.
Meanwhile, Jain and President of Yadavagiri Industries Association, Sridhar are planning to take up the matter with the authorities by filing a case against the Corporation Commissioner in the V V Mohalla police Station. (KNN/ES)
