Rajasthan Govt taking series of measures for establishing new clusters for MSMEs in state

Jaipur, Aug 21 (KNN) Rajasthan government may soon establish new clusters for the medium and small industries in the state.

In this direction, industries department has proposed a series of measures to ensure development of new clusters over the next one month.

“Development of the clusters will be ensured through a target based work plan and weekly or fortnight reviews so that new clusters can be developed in next one month,” said industries commissioner Samit Sharma. 

He said that these clusters are proposed under a center aided scheme and detailed project report of a few of these has been pending for approval for over a year.

Taking a cognizance of the issue during a meeting on Monday, MSME Secretary for the state, Naveen Mahajan said “Under the central government scheme, 36 clusters have developed at Tamil Naidu, 7 at Haryana and many more at several other states. We need to ensure its benefit for industries at Rajasthan.”

He instructed the officials to submit report on the constitution of the clusters on priority basis.
