In a top-level bureaucratic reshuffle, Ram Mohan Mishra to take charge as new Additional Secretary & DC MSME
New Delhi, Oct 12 (KNN) Ram Mohan Mishra, a senior officer of Meghalaya cadre will take over as the new Additional Secretary and DC MSME.
His posting has been announced by the Government recently.
Office of the Dc, MSME is the apex body for promotion, development and upscaling of the vast MSME sector of India.
The post was lying vacant after the previous DC, Mr. S N Tripathi relinquished the charge.
Mr. Mishra brings with him a vast experience in almost every areas of Governance, which will surely help him to address the plethora of challenges the MSME sector is passing through.
Quite a few crucial issues like revision of the definition of MSME, facilitating credit flow, opening opportunities for MSMEs in Government procurement etc. are waiting for policy interventions by the Dc, MSME.
Mishra also had a stint in the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the Commerce and Industry department which may also be a good asset for him to formulate a growth trajectory for the MSMEs.
The MSME fraternity will wait eagerly for him to take up his new role and direct early solution of the critical issues which need to be addressed immediate.
Mishra’s appointment is a part of the 13 high-level bureaucratic changes that were introduced recently.
Also Ajay Narayan Jha is appointed as Secretary, Department of Expenditure in the Finance Ministry and Injeti Srinivas as Secretary, Corporate Affairs Ministry.
Under the reshuffle, Health Secretary C. K. Mishra is appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and Gopal Krishna as Secretary, Shipping Ministry. Rahul Prasad Bhatnagar, will be joining the office as Secretary, Department of Sports and Preeti Sudan as Health Secretary.
Also Ravi Kant has been give the office of Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution. (KNN Bureau)
