Kolkata, Jan 30 (KNN) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has constituted an Expert Committee on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to suggest long term solutions for the growth of MSME sector, an industry body said.

In a communication to its members, the Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI) said the Committee has sought suggestions from MSME Associations.

In this regard, it has asked its members to send their inputs and suggestions pertaining to MSME by January 31, 2019.

The suggestions have been sought with regard to MSMED Act, 2006 including definitions and registration related issues; Infrastructure related issues; Access to technology related issues; Credit Rating of MSMEs; Restructuring/ Rehabilitation of Stressed Accounts/ Insolvency; Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS).

The inputs have also been sought on issues like Credit awareness/ Capacity Building of Entrepreneurs; debt financing; equity financing/ venture capital/ angel investment/ private equity/ FDI; PMMY, including role of refinance & credit guarantee schemes; and Role of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and CGTMSE.
