Samadhan portal tallies about Rs 11 lakh cr outstanding payments to MSMEs

New Delhi, Feb 7 (KNN) The MSME Samadhan portal has recorded a total outstanding payment of Rs 11,741.21 crore to micro and small sector as of 3rd February, 2022.

This information was given by Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Narayan Rane in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.

He also shared the number orientation programme conducted by National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) in last five years which saw drastic fall from 574 programmes in 2017-18 to 22 in 2021-22.

With regards to Udhyam portal registration from 1st April, 2021 to 2nd February, 2022, total 708,656 women entrepreneurs have registered their busineeses out which 692,034 are micro, 15,989 are small and 633 are medium.

It marks an increase of 217,587 registration of women entrepreneurs against the counting of 491,069 from 1st July 2020 to 31st March 2021.

While for the Micro and Small Enterprises - Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), the beneficiaries have reported on an average 35 per cent increase in production, a significant increase in sales as well as exports, as per a study conducted under 3rd party evaluation. (KNN Bureau)
