Seminar on price risk management in base metals

Mysore, Jul 31 (KNN)  Fluctuation in prices of base metals has a definite impact on the cost of production in industries.  To provide insights on ways to reduce risk and hedging mechanisms, a seminar is being organised here.
 
Organised jointly by Multi Commodity Exchange, Forward Markets Commission, Government of India, District Industries Centre, Mysore Industries Association (MIA) and Mysore District Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Association, the Seminar on Price Risk Management in Base Metals is scheduled to be held on August-2.
 
Assistant Vice President, MCX Mumbai, Rashmi Nilhani who is an expert in inculcating hedging mechanisms in base metals will address the gathering about the impact of fluctuation in base metals prices on the cost of the production in industries, reducing or controlling the risk and price risk base metals, a press note from MIA said. 
 
The programme will be inaugurated by Joint Director DIC, Shivashankar, and presided over by President, MIA, P Vishvanath. 
 
Chief guests at the event are Senior Manager, Rane Madras Ltd, K P Vijaya Kumar and President, MDMSMEA T D Jayachandra Urs.  Rane Madras Ltd is a major consumer of base metals.  (KNN/ES)
