Session on quality awareness at FOSMI

Kolkata, Dec 9 (KNN)  To improve quality of life at the workplace by applying quality concepts and initiatives, a session on quality awareness will be held at the Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI) office here.

Scheduled to be held on December-16, the session will introduce members to various quality initiatives, group activities that can enhance quality, problem solving at the work place and understand the gains both tangible and intangible, an official release said.

The session on quality awareness will be conducted by senior faculty from the Quality Circle Forum of India, Kolkata Chapter with proven experience in the industry.  It would include an interactive session with participants.

Chairman, QCFI, Kolkata Chapter (Vice President of Videocon Group), Dr Gautam Sengupta, is expected to grace the occasion.
 
Quality Circle Forum of India, Kolkata Chapter is a national body dedicated to preaching and practice of quality circle and other allied quality concepts under the umbrella of Total Quality Management (TQM).
 
The organisation conducts various in-house training programmes, workshops, seminars and annual conventions. ‘Participation for Progress’ is the motto of Quality Circle Forum of India.
 
The objective of quality initiative is focused on continuous improvement at the work place for better quality of work life.
 
The programmes are designed to fetch desired results in terms of cost reduction, energy conservation, quality in products and services towards customers’ delight, enhancing employees’ performances and unlocking creativity and innovation.
