Shivalik Small Finance Bank Appoints MSME Veteran Dinesh Singhal as Independent Director

Meerut, Jun 12 (KNN) Shivalik Small Finance Bank, the pioneering institution that transitioned from an urban cooperative bank to a small finance bank, has announced the appointment of Dinesh Singhal as an independent director to its board.

Singhal, an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, brings a wealth of experience in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.

As the Managing Director of Kanohar Electricals Ltd, a Meerut-based company, he is widely regarded as an MSME veteran.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Singhal has held influential positions in industry organisations. He served as the founding President of the Indian Industries Association (IIA), the apex body representing MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh.

Subsequently, he assumed the role of President at the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME).

Beyond his professional endeavours, Singhal actively contributes to socio-economic development initiatives in Meerut. He is a founding member of the Meerut Citizen Forum, which recently conducted a groundbreaking study titled "Quadrupling GDP of Meerut" using a bottom-up approach for GDP growth.

Furthermore, Singhal heads the Kanohar Lal Trust Society, a reputed educational trust that operates several degree and intermediate colleges in and around Meerut, with a focus on promoting women's education.

Shivalik Small Finance Bank, known for its technological prowess, leverages cutting-edge technology to ensure operational agility and cost-effective scalability.

The bank maintains a presence on all major retail payment platforms, including UPI, IMPS, NEFT/RTGS, and is a direct participant in the National Financial Switch.

With a customer base exceeding 6 lakh, Shivalik Small Finance Bank operates through a network of 68 branches and 93 exclusive Business Correspondent Branches spread across Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, the National Capital Region (NCR), Telangana, and Haryana.
