SIDBI-FISME organizing Vendor Development Meet for MSMEs with Railways in Lucknow

Lucknow, Aug 24 (KNN) Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) along with Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) is organizing a vendor development meet for MSMEs with Indian Railways in Lucknow on August 29, 2017.

The event ‘Opportunities for MSMEs with Railways’ will be held at RDSO New Auditorium, Manak Nagar, Lucknow, on August 29 at 1445 hrs to 1800 hrs.

Indian Railways is the largest commercial organisation of the GoI and procure about 8,000 different items worth about Rs 80,000 crores every year.

“Indian Railways is initiating a mega exercise to facilitate MSMEs to be suppliers to Railways. SIDBI and FISME have been entrusted to organize series of workshops nationally in this regard,” said the organizers.

The purpose of the workshops would be to showcase the opportunities available to MSMEs with the Railways, make the MSMEs aware of the policies and procedures to do business with railways and also to make them aware about various financial schemes of SIDBI, the organizers added.

The event would be attended by the senior officials of Indian Railways, SIDBI, SMERA, FISME and Indian Industries Association (IIA). (KNN Bureau)
