New Delhi, Apr 2 (KNN) In a bid to explore the concerns of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and also to build a strengthened relationship, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) will be deputing officials to go and spend a day at small industries to observe them and absorb first-hand experience.

This first of its kind model is to be a part of SIDBI’s Foundation Day Celebration on April 2.

Under the proposed program, over 175 officials will be visiting their micro and small enterprises clients across the country in 23 states and over 80 districts.

“The visit would be different form usual customer visits as these officials would be spending time with them to observe a typical day of small entrepreneurs and wherever permitted would also be staying at the residence of entrepreneurs”, a finance Ministry release informed.

During the visit, the officials will also meet their stakeholders, understand the real concern of the entrepreneurs at the ground level, get the first-hand experience of the unit and the sector so that the same can be utilized effectively for devising the policies for betterment of the MSMEs, the release further added.

The new model of reaching out to the MSMEs is a part of SIDBI’s new aspirational variant SIDBI 2.0.

SIDBI in its new vision 2.0 is set to promote inclusive growth plans by deeper engagement with smaller enterprises.

This will enhance and enable SIDBI to formulate policies / schemes more relevant for the sector and particularly for MSEs, the finance ministry said. (KNN?DA)
