SIDBI shares best practices for MSME growth from 16 states

New Delhi, Sept 16 (KNN) Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has selected profiles of 16 states with regards to their industrial policy implemented for the development of MSMEs through Project Management Units (PMUs) set up by the bank.

These PMUs have been working closely with nodal departments of State to facilitate shaping enterprise/industrial policies and also adopt good practices in other states.

The 16 states includes Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Odisha and Bihar, reported Financial Express.

“State profiles will be provided to state governments for them to take advantage of the information and spread the best practices followed for the benefit of MSMEs,” said the primary financial institution for MSME promotion, financing and development.

Explaining the aim of the initiative, SIDBI CMD Sivasubramanian Ramann said, “MSME State Profile will help understand the existing practices and initiatives about the MSME ecosystem in the states across India.”

The report covers industry profile of the state, cluster development initiatives, supporting agencies, state-promoted schemes, policies, and partnerships with the government of India for various schemes.  (KNN Bureau)
