He visited the institute in Noida on Friday to review the activities of the institute and also advised it to concentrate upon high end and innovation based entrepreneurship in due course of time.
Exhorting the institute to transform itself into a premier organisation for entrepreneurship development in the country and International level as well, Rudy asked the management to also play a leading role in introduction of entrepreneurship as an integral part of different training programmes being organised by different Sector Skill Councils under the auspices of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry.
He said the Institute should also assist developing Afro-Asian countries in spreading entrepreneurship and skill culture among their respective target groups.
Rudy assured management of the Institute that from the ministry’s side, all financial assistance will be provided to it for all of its promotional and non-revenue activities.
He, however, counselled, the institute to formulate a clear road-map for itself detailing the mix of activities in light of the twin objectives of performing the new role expected of it in consonance with emphasis being laid by the present dispensation on entrepreneurship and skill development and the desirability of generating financial resources for sustaining cult of financial self-sufficiency over a period of time.
