Smart city project will help to develop the MSMEs: TANSTIA

New Delhi Dec 30 (KNN) The Tamil Nadu Government has submitted the 12 smart city proposals to the Centre. The 12 cities and towns included in the Smart City Mission are : Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Dindigul, Thanjavur, Tiruppur, Salem, Vellore, Coimbattore, Madurai, Erode, Thoothukudi and Chennai. 

KNN caught up the Tamil Nadu small and Tiny Industries Association (TANSTIA) president Muthusami C, who told that these projects will help in the development of the industries.

We expect that the smart city projects will help to build infrastructure projects like Roads, Airport and will increase other facilities for Micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), he added.

He sees many opportunities for MSMEs to supply construction material, equipment for building the smart cities in the state.

Muthusami calls it a good sign for the industry.

He expects that State Government will call the stakeholders for the discussion to build the smart cities in the state. Once invited then they will make their roadmap, he told.
