SME delegation accompanying Nepal PM insists closer ties with Indian MSMEs

New Delhi, Sep 16 (KNN) A high level delegation from the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI) is accompanying the Prime Minister of Nepal during his current visit to India.

Shyam Giri, President of FNCSI, told KNN that their mission is to develop a SAARC wide interlink within MSMEs and to start with, they would like to have an institutional mechanism for sustained collaboration within MSMEs of India and Nepal.

In course of their mission, the FNCSI delegation is meeting various stakeholders in India and interacted with senior office bearers of FISME, the leading federation of Indian MSMEs.

During the hour long meeting with the FISME team led by Neeraj Kedia, Past President, FISME, the FNCSI discussed various issues crucial for the development of easier business for the MSMEs of both the countries.

Giri, President, FNCSI also invited FISME to participate in the intra SAARC seminar and exhibition they are organising at Kathmandu in February, 2017.

The crucial issue is to enhance business between the SMEs of two countries, commented Kedia, while interacting with the FNCSI delegation.

The objective should be to pull down all barriers, visible and invisible, for enhancing business between the two countries, quipped Kedia.

The FNCSI team also appreciated the KNN initiative of FISME and looked forward to enhanced information exchange about the MSMEs of the two countries. (KNN/ DB)
